Last month, OnePlus had rolled out the CM 11S 38R update for the OnePlus One smartphone, claiming to fix touchscreen issues, including unresponsiveness. Reportedly, the update didn't fix all the issues, and now the company is said to be planning to resolve the issue via an OTA update soon.According to Android Police, though firmware upgrade is in testing, a team member has access to a privately shared kernel of the new firmware and says it has fixed the unresponsive touchscreen issue entirely. The report further suggests that the update should also fix random reboots and appearing of the lines on the display.
While it's not known that when the update will roll out to users; Android Police speculates that OnePlus should roll it out soon.
Previously, the CM 11S 38R update for OnePlus One had also brought some enhancements along with bug fixes. The smartphone camera was updated with the ability to take photos in RAW format and the app had got a pause button during video recording.
The update had also fixed other camera-related issues, such as camera exposure compensation stuck in 'auto', and the camera not starting when LED torch is already on. The OnePlus One smartphone's music playback was updated with support for 24-bit, 96/192khz flac/ alac/ wav files without resampling. Additionally, the update had also added a new lock screen, ANT+ support for connecting health accessories, and direct bug reporting ability.
OnePlus One, which is yet to land in India, will be priced under Rs. 25,000 for its 64GB variant, said Carl Pei, Director of OnePlus Global, on Saturday.
