Lenovo, the Chinese technology firm that recently completed its acquisition of Motorola Mobility, has sent out invitations for the India launch of the Lenovo Vibe X2 on Thursday.
Notably, the Lenovo Vibe X2 was launched alongside the Vibe Z2 earlier this year at the company's IFA 2014 event.
The Vibe X2 was launched at $399, which translates to roughly Rs. 24,000. It is also not clear when the firm will bring its Vibe Z2 handset to India.
The dual-SIM Vibe X2 features a 5-inch (1080x1920 pixels) IPS display and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box with Vibe UI 2.0. The handset is powered by a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6595m processor. It comes with 2GB of RAM, and includes 32GB of inbuilt storage.
Other specifications of Vibe X2 include a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera; 5-megapixel front camera; 2300mAh battery; 4G LTE; Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac; Bluetooth, and Micro-USB. It measures 140.2x68.6x7.27mm and weighs 120 grams.
Lenovo in September launched the Vibe Z2 Pro handset in India at Rs. 32,999. The device sports a 6-inch Quad-HD (1440x2560 pixel) display and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box with the company's proprietary Vibe UI 2.0 on top. The dual-sim handset is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon (MSM8974AC) 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz, coupled with 3GB of RAM.
It also packs a 16-megapixel rear camera and also houses a 5-megapixel front camera. There is 32GB of inbuilt storage on the Vibe Z2 Pro, which is non-expandable. It also supports NFC connectivity. The smartphone comes with a large 4000mAh battery with no word on talk time and standby time. It was launched in Black, Gold and Titanium colour variants.
