Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei has ended all Honor 4X rumours by finally launching the handset in China. The firm has not clarified when the handset will be launched in other regions.
The mid-range device is available for pre-orders from the company website for CNY 1,299 (roughly Rs. 13,000) with shipments starting from November 6. The Huawei Honor 4X is also listed on Vmall, an e-commerce website.
The dual-SIM Honor 4X's highlight is its 64-bit 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 processor, the same used in Huawei Honor 4 Play handset launched in September.
The Huawei Honor 4X features a 5.5-inch IPS HD (720x1280 pixels) display and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box paired with the company's new EmotionUI 3.0. The Snapdragon 410 chipset is supported by 2GB of RAM and an Adreno 306 GPU. The Honor 4X sports 8GB of inbuilt storage, which can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 32GB).

Backed by a 3000mAh battery, the Honor 4X is being advertised to deliver 72 hours of battery life with regular usage. Available in Red, Blue and Golden colour variants, the handset is 7.9mm thick. The connectivity options on the handset include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/ A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and USB 2.0.
The launch of the Huawei Honor 4X comes a couple of weeks after the company launched its Honor Holly smartphone and Honor X1 tablet in India. Notably, the company had confirmed the Honor Holly smartphone launch for the Indian market last month, at the launch of the Honor 6 smartphone and MediaPad T1 8.0 tablet.
